John MacLean sings with a voice that is honest and heartfelt. His songs reflect on the place where the family meets the heart, with words that linger. It's an honor to receive such praise. I try to leave you with something to think about and when not performing my own work I tend toward artists who do the same, such as John Prine, Paul Simon, and Richard Shindell, along with traditional songs that rouse us to think as well as sing. |
